Election Highlights • Ballots will be mailed to all registered voters. This means any registered voter may vote by mail instead of going to the polls on Election Day. • Any registered voter may access their ballot using the Accessible Vote-by-Mail system. • Early voting at the City Hall Voting Center will be relocated to an outdoor area in front of Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. • Health and safety protocols will be in place at all of the City’s 588 neighborhood polling places and the Voting Center. Important Dates

October 5 Start of early voting (ballots begin arriving to voters’ mailboxes, the City Hall Voting Center opens, and ballot drop-off stations are set up at the Voting Center entrances.) |
October 19 Last day to register to vote and receive a ballot in the mail. After October 19, anyone who is eligible to vote can still register conditionally and vote provisionally in person. |
October 31 – November 3 Additional ballot drop-off stations are open in several locations in the City. For locations and hours see here. |
Election Day, All polling places are open for vote-by-mail ballot drop-off and in-person voting from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked on or before this date to be counted. |
